Bears 5th Quarter

WHY?

FROM PLAYERS TO LEADERS IN LIFE

With the time restraints, class and practice schedules, how can coaches create a more thorough process to prepare Missouri State Football players for gaining practical skills upon graduation and having a plan for life?

With busy schedules, they have little time for interacting with professionals who can share wisdom. Our mission is to provide convenient access to role models and mentors who can guide them regarding their futures. The goal is that when players graduate, they are ahead of their peers in their education, especially in regards to soft skills.

THE SOLUTION

The Fifth Quarter program initiative is designed to help players prepare for “life after football” and offers skills training, life experiences and connections to help athletes gain the necessary skills to succeed post-college. The program helps them develop a life plan from which they can determine key steps for a fulfilled life.
